do Marine Fish Communicate with Each Other?

Maybe sometimes you just wonder how fish communicate with each other. Perhaps you would be surprised if we say that there are lots of ways to achieve them. To understand them but you should know what to look for.

Visual signals

Visual signals may be very important to get messages across, for example, painting. The color of fish, obviously, can be used for communication, and it can be extremely important for reef fish, known for their bright colors, living, as on Wednesday in its most general form of clean water and good visibility.

Contrary to popular belief, the extent of the fish do not actually have color, they are transparent, but under the skin, which performs this role. The skin is covered with tiny ‘bags’ pigment known as chromatophores, which are under muscular control. Expansion and contraction of the chromatophores can change the color of fish. That in itself is quite remarkable.

Most of the fish, in fact, can change color to some extent, and it can convey the mood of the other shallow waters to attract a mate, or to flash warning signals. But they only dynamic display signals when necessary, as it would be to use the flaws visible color when they are not needed, because they make the fish vulnerable to predators. Visual signals are also important, when the fish try to convince the partner.
